Red Hook Responds
AFF has been partnering with Red Hook Responds (RHR) since their commitment in March 2020 to serve the RH Community. AFF is the financial arm of RHR, maintaining the ebb and flow of contributions and expenses necessary in the relief operation. In 2020, we provided over $10,000 in funding to assist in the ongoing improvements/modifications to the day-to-day delivery of services, including the walk-in cooler and other indirect food costs. We have given RHR $12,000 more since. Our support and oversight falls squarely within our mission and complements the grants we have extended to a number of other local RH organizations, including the RH Public Library, RH Central Schools, Culture Connect, InFlight, the RH Community Center, Ramapo for Children, the Garden Club at Mill Road Schools, and Bard’s Center for Civic Engagement.
