Twenty-five Grant Initiative of 2018
25 grants in 2018
Did you know about our twenty-five grant initiative? In 2018, one of the goals of the foundation was to fund twenty-five grants before the end of the grant cycle. Just before entering 2019, we met our goal and funded twenty-five grants! Thanks to all the hard work of community members and the ambassador network who made this possible. Grants ranged from funding for Summer Academy classes hosted by the Red Hook School District, to extra bedding and supplies for a woman and families homeless shelter in Boston, to scholarships for young girls who have lost a parent to attend a week long summer camp. The Directors loved reading each application and working with the organizations to figure out their needs.
If you or or someone you know is working near the greater Red Hook Community on projects related to programs that support elder care needs, educational pursuits for the underserved, or poverty alleviation, we encourage you to apply for funding!
